welcome to ArtefillDallas.com

Welcome to Artefill Dallas. Many attempts have been made during past decades to fill wrinkles or scars with biological or artificial implants. Most biological materials are however, reabsorbed within 1 year, where synthetic materials until now, showed side effects like migration, granuloma formation, late allergic reaction and other unwanted side effects.

Several news programs about ArteFill®.

ArteFill® is the first and only FDA-approved non-resorbable wrinkle filler for the correction of smile lines.

ArteFill® is a unique combination of homogeneous precision-filtered microspheres suspended in a solution of purified collagen gel and 0.3% lidocaine to alleviate discomfort during injection. ArteFill® recently received FDA approval and is the first approved permanent aesthetic injectable micro-implant for the correction of nasolabial folds. Artefill® stimulates the production of the patient's own collagen to provide a lasting effect.

Masked Observer Ratings of Nasolabial Fold Improvement

When ArteFill® is injected into the skin, underneath a wrinkle, the microscopic spheres stimulate the body's own collagen production. The body's naturally produced collagen replaces the injected bovine collagen within 4 to 6 weeks and encapsulates each individual microsphere to achieve long-lasting wrinkle correction. In the US clinical trials, patients receiving ArteFill® showed significant improvement in the correction of nasolabial folds compared with patients receiving a collagen treatment. ArteFill® patients had fewer adverse events reported than the collagen group, but the difference was not considered significant.

LASTING CORRECTION OF SKIN DEFECTS AND WRINKLES

PMMA (polymethylmethacrylate) was first discovered in Germany in 1902 by the chemist O. Röhm and was patented in 1928. The first medical use of PMMA was in 1936 as dental prostheses. It has since been extensively used in a variety of medical procedures, notably as bone replacement of the jaw and hip and replacement ocular lenses used to treat cataracts.

ArteFill® - Innovative technology with a proven history

PMMA medical use as implants dates back to 1936.

Common medical uses of PMMA include bone cement (Palacos® and others), dentures, artificial eye lenses,
pacemakers (Lucite@, Palavit® and others).

First use for tissue augmentation in 1989.

More than 200,000 men and women around the world have been successfully treated with ArteFill® over the past 10 years.

LONG LASTING YOUTHFUL SKIN IS NO LONGER JUST A DREAM

ArteFill® - Unique technology, simple application
Injection should be strictly deep dermal, via the tunneling technique.
Although an intradermal test injection may be considered, it is not strictly necessary due to the extremely low incidence of sensitivity (<0.1%).
ArteFill®'s collagen vehicle is degraded normally within 1-3 months.
PMMA microspheres are naturally encapsulated (within 2-4 months) through the formation of connective tissue, preventing migration.
The skin defect is naturally filled by the body's own collagen tissue, encapsulating and anchoring the PMMA microspheres.

ArteFill® - Many practical applications

Filling folds and wrinkles of the face.
Augmentation of the lips.
Correction of irregularities of the nose.
Correction of acne scars.
Augmentation of the nipple.
